Evergreen Dreams

Why we create our own curriculum?

For all the Kimoni's

With our curriculum, children like Kimoni see their names and stories in the classroom. The joy little Kimoni experienced when seeing herself represented in books and classroom work was truly heartwarming. It was as if a whole new world opened up to her, where she could see reflections of her own life, culture, and dreams. This representation not only bolstered her confidence but also inspired her creativity. This sense of belonging and validation was invaluable, not just for Kimoni, but for all the students who, like her, were discovering the power of seeing themselves in the stories they read.

How we support curriculum?

Our Roadmap to Equitable Learning tool encourages educators to use the four pillars, celebrate, power of 3, language and materials to foster an equitable education culture. Our roadmap provides teachers with resources and strategies to create inclusive environments where every student feels valued and seen. By integrating the four pillars, educators can celebrate diversity, harness the power of collaboration, enrich language experiences, and choose materials that reflect their students' identities. This approach not only enhances learning but also cultivates a community where empathy and understanding flourish. Together, we can build a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive and shine, just like Kimoni.
